School Administration Assistant


A the school is growing we are looking to recruit an Administration Assistant to come and help us in the School Office. This is a part time role for the first year with the possibility of it developing into a full time role.

  

You will :

  • Provide general admin support including clerical processes, word processing, IT based tasks requiring knowledge of various ICT packages and operation of office equipment.
  • Maintain computerised records and management information system (Arbor)
  • Deal with enquiries either by telephone or face-to-face and sign in visitors.
  • Point of contact for sick pupils, liaise with parents/carers/staff.
  • Administration of arrangements for school visits and events

School Business Manager


We are looking to recruit a School Business Manager for September 2022.


The ideal candidate will: -

  • Be a financially astute leader with experience in an educational setting.
  • Have well developed strategic planning, procurement, project management, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Have a proven track record of managing Finance, HR and Estates
  • Be experienced in getting the best from teams, motivating others and planning for improvement.  


The role: -

  • Responsible for the management of Finance, Administration, ICT, HR, Estates, Health & Safety and Risk Management.
  • Promote the highest standards and ensure the school makes best use of the resources available to support key objectives.
  • Uphold and promote the vision, values and ethos of the school, acting with integrity at all times.

Premises / Site Manager


We are looking for a reliable proactive Premises / Site Manager to come and join us in September. 


This is a term time plus one week contract, working Monday to Friday with suggested hours of 7am to 3pm (these can be adjusted).


The main job purpose is to ensure the whole site provides a clean, safe and secure environment at all times for the entire school community – staff, students, visitors, potential tenants and all other users. The Site Manager will be expected to use their own initiative and take decisions to achieve this. He/she will be a fully participating member of the school community and is expected to take an active interest in the day to day running of the school. 


• Ensure that buildings, site and resources are secure, including during out of school hours and take remedial action if required 

• Act as a designated key holder for the school premises 

• Operate and regularly check systems such as heating, cooling, lighting and security (including CCTV and alarms) 

• Undertake minor repairs (i.e., not requiring qualified craftsperson) and maintenance of the buildings and site and cleaning duties 

• Arrange emergency repairs 

• Arrange regular maintenance and safety checks 

• Oversee onsite maintenance contractors, checking that work is completed to required standards and within required timescales 

• Monitor stock and assist in ordering cleaning supplies 

• Undertake general portage duties, including moving furniture and equipment within the school 

• Perform duties in line with health and safety and COSHH regulations and take action where hazards are identified, report serious hazards to SBM immediately 

• Undertake regular health and safety checks of buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings, (including compliance with fire safety regulations) and equipment, in line with other schedules 

• Monitor the work of and manage cleaning staff.  

• Ensure the school grounds are maintained in line with set expectations and methods • Work with Senior Leaders to complete risk assessments and ensure compliance within the school with all health and safety responsibilities for example COSHH, ladder, asbestos and legionella.
