At Hujjat Primary School our vision for children with special educational needs and disabilities is the same as for all children and young people - that they achieve well in their early years, at school and in college, and lead happy and fulfilled lives - SEND Code of Practice 2015.
Our aim is to work with our families to enable success for all of our pupils.
Mrs Mahir is our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO), and is also an experienced teacher who has worked for many years in a mainstream school, with a high number of pupils with SEND.
Our SENDCO works closely with each of the class teachers and helps to identify needs, organise provision and liaise with external professionals in order to meet the needs of our children. Mrs Mahir is non-class based on Monday and Tuesday and can be contacted on the email address sen@hujjatprimary.org or via the school telephone number.
Below you will find our latest Inclusion Policy and SEND Information Report. Should you require further information,
Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available for the children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities (SEND) aged 0-25. This is known as the ‘Local Offer’. The intention of the Local Offer is to improve choice and transparency for families. It will also be an important resource for parents in understanding the range of services and provision in the local area. Information is published as part of the SEND reforms under the Children and Families Act 2014. For information about Harrow’s Local offer please follow this link: http://www.harrow.gov.uk/localoffer
