At Hujjat Primary School we have a dedicated inclusion team consisting of:
Miss Aissaoui - Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator & Designated Safeguarding Lead
Mrs Saad – Acting Headteacher & Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Our aim is for all learners to achieve and progress in school regardless of circumstances. We recognise that ‘Inclusion’ does not mean giving the same to all, instead it means to give the right support, resources and reasonable adjustments to those who need them to enable everyone to have success.
At Hujjat Primary School our vision for children with special educational needs and disabilities is the same as for all children and young people - that they achieve well in their early years, at school and in college, and lead happy and fulfilled lives - SEND Code of Practice 2015.
Our aim is to work with our families to enable success for all of our pupils.
Miss Aissaoui is our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO), and is also an experienced teacher who has worked for many years in a mainstream school, with a high number of pupils with SEND. She has worked at Hujjat Primary school since opening in September 2020.
Our SENDCO works closely with each of the class teachers and helps to identify needs, organise provision and liaise with external professionals in order to meet the needs of our children. Miss Aissaoui is non-class based on Wednesday and Thursday and can be contacted on the email address below or via the school telephone number.
Miss Aissaoui can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
Below you will find our latest Inclusion Policy and SEND Information Report. Should you require further information, please feel free to contact the school office and ask for a member of the Inclusion Team.
Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available for the children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities (SEND) aged 0-25. This is known as the ‘Local Offer’. The intention of the Local Offer is to improve choice and transparency for families. It will also be an important resource for parents in understanding the range of services and provision in the local area. Information is published as part of the SEND reforms under the Children and Families Act 2014. For information about Harrow’s Local offer please follow this link: http://www.harrow.gov.uk/localoffer
